What is IPL Hair Removal?
Hair is permanently removed by damaging the hair follicle with energized light pulsation that targets the color of the hair. Hair grows in different phases and thus, 6-10 treatments are needed to ensure complete eradication of all the hair in each phase.
The difference between IPL- and Laser Hair Removal
Overall, IPL is a quicker solution than Laser hair removal treatment, because it affects larger areas of the body; therefore, you will need fewer treatments to eradicate all your unwanted hair. Laser treatment affects smaller areas of the body and is appropriate for people with a darker complexion who have rough hair texture whereas IPL is appropriate for people with a fair complexion and fine hair texture. IPL is beneficial to your skin as it increases collagen by exercising your skin and thus, decreasing the risk of wrinkles at the same time as eradicating unwanted hairs!
The pain factor
The feeling during the treatment is equivalent to a small pinching or plucking sensation in the targeted area for hair removal.
How is IPL beneficial?
IPL hair removal ensures 100% satisfactory results because it is appropriate for bigger areas of hair removal and hair follicles are eradicated. The treatments are painless fast sessions with effective results. The treatment does not harm the skin around the area to be treated, and it increases collagen productivity thus, the skin is less likely to age. IPL lives up to its standards of being the best highly developed everlasting hair removal treatment by removing all unwanted hair, without leaving behind any stubble or shadows.
Feedback on IPL hair removal treatment
My name is Cindy and I had a problem with hair growth in the bikini and underarm area. Therefore, I decided to try IPL hair removal treatment for a few sessions. My first 8 treatments were done every 2 weeks and the rest of my 4 treatments were done every 6 weeks. I found that, even though the hair growth was reduced, it was not completely removed as I expected. A few softer hairs might grow back as they did with me, but if you want, less hair growth then this treatment will benefit you.
I was upset to find that, a few months after my last session in May, a couple of hairs had grown back in each armpit. You can barely see them but if you look closely, you can see they are there. This is an improvement to the coarse black hairs, which I had before. Therefore, if you have mutant hair growth like me, you will be happy with this treatment.
The bikini area had good results but it was very painful! That area is sensitive and if the vibration is higher, it hurts more. Pop a couple of painkillers before if you are having that area done (I learnt the hard way!). The treatment is expensive so test another smaller area of your body to see if it is worth it, because some hairs do grow back.
