Alzheimer’s disease

Blood sugar

Due to busy schedules and lots of work, modern living dictates most people to skip meals during the day and makes up with large heavy meal at night. This is a problem that should be corrected. The tendency is that when people starve themselves and then have a big meal, they will have unstable blood sugar levels. Low blood sugar levels can lead the brain to get sleepy and tired. Eventually, it will cause short term memory loss. That is why doctors recommend that to have better memory one should have six small meals every day rather than three large meals, so as to keep blood sugar levels steady.

Hormonal Havoc

Hormonal imbalance is part of the aging process which often causes short term memory loss due to the menopausal stage that declines estrogen levels. Even though there already exist hormone replacement therapies and other treatments and preventions, this is a factor that will certainly aid in determining the causes of memory loss.
