Let’s talk about honey for acne. If you want your skin to recover from your acnes and keep a soothing feeling on your face, then you should go for mask that is made of honey. However, this product is not suited for someone who is allergic to bees.
Aside from treating acnes, you have to know that honey is a great moisturizer. It helps your skin recover from tiny cuts and burns as well. It also has elements that can help you fight against bacteria. As you can see, this product can give you more benefits than you can ever imagine. It’s basically a jack of all trades.
How to Cure Your Acnes with Honey
Actually, you don’t have to do a lot of things for honey to work marvelously on your skin. You simply have to get a small amount of it and put it all over your face. However, for you to evenly spread the substance, you would need to wet your hands or your face first. If you want to create a toner made of apple cider vinegar or a mask made of aspirin, then you may consider adding honey to these home remedies.
If it is your first time to apply honey to your face, then you are recommended to put it on your jaw first for you to know whether your skin type is compatible with the substance or not. After testing the honey, then you are free to choose the amount of time that you would allow the substance to stay on your face. Half an hour would do but based on my personal experience, a full hour with honey all over my face simply makes my whole week. In fact, I love the substance so much that I go to bed even if it’s still on my face. Just as long as you are not allergic to honey, then you are free to use it as many times as you want.
However, keep your honey mask in moderation. Keep in mind that this type of mask is not the usual kind that easily dries up. It can’t stay securely on your face because of its great moisture content. So, just put the amount of honey that your face needs and try not to move too much when the mask is still on your face.
If you don’t want a mask made of honey, then you can just put the substances on your zits alone. This has been an effective technique in my experience. Just so you know I am using the raw honey in our kitchen to treat my acnes from time to time. I’m recommending this product to all of you who are reading my article.
If you want to have fun while applying honey on your acnes, then you can constantly pat your face with both of your hands after putting on the substance. This would enhance your skin’s circulation and make you enjoy what you are doing at the same time. It’s simply a fun routine to do.
My Personal Take on Acnes and Honey
In the past, I have applied both raw honey and regular honey on my face. I didn’t know the differences between them back then. For everyone’s information, raw honey is much better than the regular one because it doesn’t cling to your face when you rinse it off. It gives you a soothing feeling and it can certainly enhance your skin’s condition.
I apply honey to my zits to prevent them from growing big and to turn them into smaller heads that are less visible to the eyes of other people. As I’ve said earlier, I sometimes go to bed with my favorite honey mask. However, I make sure that every item that can be found on my bed is covered with towels so I won’t have to deal with honey stains first thing in the morning.
Honey can be very sticky so don’t forget to have those towels ready before you go to sleep. I have learned my lesson the hard way and I wouldn’t want you to experience that. Spilled honey can give you a tremendous headache so take precautions. Always remember to have clean towels laid out in your bed.
If you find a honey mask to be troublesome, then you can use the substance as a toner instead. Moreover, dilute it before you apply it on your skin. This will ensure that the honey would stay on your face all throughout the night. Now, how do you dilute honey? The process is actually very simple. You just have to get a small amount of honey, pour some drops of water into it and apply it on your acnes. As for me, I wait for the diluted honey to dry off a little bit before I let myself be dragged to dreamland.
A piece of paper mask can also let the honey stay securely on your face. If you don’t have the money to buy this item, then you can just settle for a paper towel. Create holes in the towel which would accommodate your lips, nose and eyes. Place your modified towel on top of your face filled with honey and that’s it.
Lastly, I would have to point out that raw honey is indeed effective in treating acnes but not in preventing them. Thus, you might want to try other products for the prevention of future breakouts on your skin. Nevertheless, raw honey remains something that is worth buying and applying on your face.
